The Event: Saturday, July 31
9:30am - 1:30pm - Registration at the tent on the Temple Common. You will receive an Event Guide which will provide directions and information about characteristics and activities at each barn. Plan your personal itinerary for the tour and browse the Temple Farmers Market fresh produce and home-baked goodies.
9:30am - 1:30pm - Temple Farmers Market, on the Common. Look for Darren Duhaime (age 9) who will be selling homemade lemonade & fresh-baked cookies on the Common, and will donate 25% of the proceeds to the Temple Historical Society.
10am - 11am - Historian John Porter: “History of Agriculture as Told by Barns.” in the Town Hall.
10am - 4pm - Barns open for tours. With beautiful gardens, live animals, treats, demonstrations, activities, and fascinating emblems of history, there's something for everyone!
11:30am - 1:30pm - Box lunches are available for pickup in the Town Hall. We will have live music in the Town Hall during lunch. Tables will also be set up on the Common for those wishing to bring their own picnics. Reserved lunch seatings are available at the Birchwood Inn by calling 878‑3285.
Notes:
- Please leave your pets at home.
- The Town Hall is handicapped accessible. Most barns are not.
- Restrooms are available in the Town Hall.
- Water coolers will be available at the Town Hall and on the Common, please bring your own water bottle.
- Young children by the hand where it is prudent.
