Jan ‘91- Present....	Design/Illustration.. Self-Employment Business Clients in NH & MA	Freelance Designer and Illustrator – My various projects include: spot and cover illustration for advertising, retail, promotional and educational materials; graphic design and production for brochures, media kits, direct mail, packaging, catalogs and collateral; web page design and production; project management; murals and portraiture.
Jan ‘91- Apr ‘96	Brookstone Company In-House Art Dept. Nashua, NH	Art Director – My foremost responsibility: concept, design and production for monthly retail promotions. This includes developing a variety of dynamic, attention-getting window graphics and in-store graphics. I was also responsible for product packaging and all signage and graphics for product displays and collateral. My project management and scheduling included supervision of freelancers and any photo direction or illustration needed. On major promotions I would oversee the work of outside design agencies. I was often involved in presentations and facilitating meetings with officers and other staff. I started at Brookstone as a freelancer doing various pen and ink product illustration for retail and catalog. After several months I became a full-time freelancer doing retail display graphic design and page layout for catalogs. I was soon responsible for the retail window promotions and the supervision of freelancers. When we converted to electronic publishing I became the resource for computer upkeep and training.
May ‘89- May ‘90	Drumbeater Ad Agency Wakefield, MA	Art Director – Basically a one-person art department, from brainstorming and marketing to design and illustration, to pricing, final production and proofing. Projects included ads, direct mail, brochures and corporate communication.
May ‘88- Nov ‘88	Spring Arbor Distributors In-House Art Dept. Belleville, MI	Production Supervisor/Art Director – Responsible for scheduling and production of all vehicles, such as flyers, ads, brochures, small and major catalogs. Supervisor over a staff of 6, plus freelancers. Responsible for marketing concepts, pricing, design, desktop production and illustration. I also directed all photo shoots and press approvals.
Nov ‘86- May ‘88	T. I. Group, Ltd. Ad Agency Ann Arbor, MI	Art Director – This position included marketing concept, design and production of ads, direct mail, annual reports and client presentations, using my skills in illustration, photo direction, press approvals, stat camera work and supervision of freelancers
Jan ‘85- Feb ‘87	Various Design Groups MI	Graphic Designer, Production Artist, Illustrator – All kinds of print, collateral and advertising concept, design and layout; pre-press production such as typesetting, keylining and magazine page layout and direction. I’ve worked with outdoor signage: pricing, production and painting plus a terrific variety of illustrations including full-color ads, T-shirts, brochures, editorials and game boards.
